Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga

Jerome Liggon ……. 50 years ago my family went to the 1964 WORLDS FAIR.  The impact of the African pavilion is with me till this very day.  Baba Olatunji performed and from that moment on drumming has become a part of my life. Of course back then the only drum lessons you could get were of the snare variety. That was fine until my cousin taught me how to play the conga drum.  45 years and still going strong, hand drumming is an integral part of my life.  In 1990 i had the pleasure of playing a DJEMBE DRUM, which is now my drum of choice.  For more information:

Drumming helps alleviate stress that is created from hanging on to the past or worrying about the future. When you play the drum, you are placed squarely in the here and now. Drumming helps reconnect us to our core, enhancing our sense of empowerment and stimulating our creative expression.

I want everyone to experience the pleasure of drumming.  I tell you to come from with in yourself and nourish your soul.  Leave behind the pressure of this thing we call life and LIVE for the moment.  Let the drum take you to another place and time.

When:       will be back in the fall

Instructor: Jerome Liggon

"I honor the place within you where the entire universe resides.
I honor the place within you of love, light, truth and peace. I honor the place within you, where when you are in that place in you and I am in that place in me, there is only One of us."
— Namaste

"The spirit of the drum is something that you feel but cannot put your hands on.
It does something to you from the inside out . . .
It hits people in so many different ways.
But the feeling is one that is satisfying and joyful.
It is a feeling that makes you say to yourself, '
I'm glad to be alive today! I'm glad to be part of this world!"
---Babatunde Olatunji
